Powis' culture revolves around innovation, so we tend to be in the
news a lot.
Here's a taste of some of our "firsts":
First stand-alone tape binding machine
First on-demand, desktop hardcover binding machine
First short-run, on-demand perfect binding machine
First to let you foil print on covers and spines (without having to get a die made)
We've also had some great stories come from users of our binding systems. Take Brewster Kahle, the founder of the Internet Archives.
He toured Uganda in a bookmobile under a grant from the World Bank. Armed with a satellite disk, computer, printer, and Powis Fastback® binder, he stopped at villages and produced books for children, in minutes, in their own language
If you'd like to write about Powis or Fastback® in your publication, we'd like to help you. Here you'll find great resources like:
A calendar of upcoming Powis events and shows
Information, photos and bios of our leadership team
Professionally shot, high resolution imagery
